Whenever the skin’s oil glands are unable to produce excess oil to moisturize the skin then it results in rough, scaly patches on the skin and thereby results in scratch and formation of scars on the skin.

The main triggers for dry skin are nutritional deficiencies (omega – 3 fats), dehydration, stress, exposure to harsh soaps or detergents, hot showers, aging, genetics, chilling weather, etc.

Dry and flaky skin will exhibit certain symptoms like redness, skin tightness, itching, skin peeling or cracks, fine lines and aging signs, bacterial infections, etc.

Don’t worry, as there are many natural remedies that help you to get rid of dry and flaky skin rather than using cosmetic lotions and moisturizers.
