  • Add 2 teaspoons of powdered ginger and a little sea salt in 1 glass of lukewarm water. Stir well and drink this water for once daily till you get rid of diarrhea.
  • Simply prepare a smoothie by blending 2 tablespoons of peeled and minced ginger root, 2 cups of chopped spinach (or 1 chopped jicama) and 2 peeled and chopped carrots (1 beetroot) until smooth. Drink it once daily.
  • Stir well 1 teaspoon of peeled and minced ginger into fresh mango juice. Drink it daily till you get rid of diarrhea.
  • Prepare a mix by stirring equal quantities (1/2 teaspoon) of powdered ginger, jaggery, and rock salt and then consume it once daily.

Method – 2: (Ginger with Honey)

Here are some ways of using this ginger and honey combination for treating diarrhea.

  • Mix 1 teaspoon each of dry ginger powder, cinnamon powder, honey and cumin powder till it forms a fine paste and consume it for thrice daily (add more honey if required).
  • Stir 1 teaspoon each of honey and mint juice and 1/2 teaspoon of fresh ginger juice. Intake of this mix for thrice daily till you cleared the mix.
  • Prepare a paste by mixing 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and 1/4 teaspoon of powdered ginger in 1 tablespoon of raw honey. Stir well and consume this mix to reduce your diarrhea.

Method – 3: (Ginger Tea)

Consuming ginger tea will give an amazing relief from many digestive disorders like upset stomach, indigestion, bloating, stomach gas and nausea.

  • Boil 1 cup of water and add 1 teaspoon of peeled and grated ginger root.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes and turn off the heat.
  • Let it steep for 10 minutes and strain it.
  • Stir 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon of raw honey in the tea.
  • Drink this ginger tea to get rid of diarrhea.

Note: Or if you don’t have any fresh ginger root then you can use powdered ginger or ginger tea bags for preparing this ginger tea and drink it.

Method – 4: (Ginger with Lemon)

Lemon kills the germs causing diarrhea and also the fragrance of lemon help you to get rid of bloating and nausea.

  • Peel and grate a fresh ginger root and take 1 teaspoon of grated ginger.
  • Then blend this grated ginger with 1 teaspoon of water until smooth.
  • Now mix 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice with a pinch of black pepper to this ginger paste.
  • Stir well and consume this paste for twice daily till you get complete relief from diarrhea.

Note:

  • Or mix 1/2 teaspoon each of fresh lemon juice and ginger juice and 1/4 teaspoon of powdered pepper (or cayenne pepper powder). Stir well and consume it twice daily.
  • Also, mix 1 pinch of black salt in 1 teaspoon each of fresh lemon juice and ginger juice in 1 glass of water. Drink this solution for 3 – 4 times daily.

Method – 5: (Ginger with Yogurt)

Yogurt treats diarrhea with its rich content of probiotics and live cultures that help to restore the good bacteria in the intestine and also destroys the bad bacteria causing diarrhea.

  • Wash and peel a 3 – inch chunk of fresh ginger.
  • Mince and blend it along with 6 ounces of plain yogurt, a pinch of black salt and 10 chopped curry leaves until smooth.
  • Then add 3 cups of water and blend it for few seconds.
  • Drink it once or twice daily until you get complete relief from diarrhea and also to restore the imbalance of bacteria in your gut.

Note:

  • Or even buttermilk helps you to treat diarrhea, as it hydrates the body and also rebalances your digestive system. So, mix 1/2 teaspoon of powdered ginger in 1 cup of buttermilk and drink this till your symptoms of diarrhea are cleared.
  • Also, heat some olive oil and add 1 teaspoon of grated ginger root, 1/2 teaspoon of carom seeds and 6 – 7 curry leaves and fry it. Then add this to 1/4 cup of plain yogurt and stir well. Finally, add the yogurt mix to 1 cup of cooked rice. Stir well and eat this twice daily.

Method – 6: (Ginger Bath)

Ginger bath helps to draw out the toxins from your body and thereby relieves you from this digestive disorder. But make sure to drink lemon water before taking this bath to prevent dehydration.

  • Mix 3 tablespoons of powdered ginger (or 1/2 cup of grated ginger) in your bathtub filled with hot water.
  • Stir well and soak in this water for about 15 – 30 minutes.
  • Finally, rinse off with plain water and dry your skin thoroughly.

Method – 7: (Ginger with Coconut Water)

Homemade Natural Body Wash:

Here are some DIY natural homemade body wash recipes. Let’s get started to know the procedure in detail.

  1. Skin Softening Body Wash Honey with Almond Oil:

This body wash helps to moisturize and nourish your skin along with clearing the spots and scars on the skin if used regularly. Here honey acts as a natural moisturizer, sweet almond oil soothes and nourishes your skin to improve its texture and reduce wrinkles. Lavender essential oil clears the germs causing skin problems.

Steps to be followed…

  • Pour 2 teaspoons of sweet almond oil, 2/3 cup of liquid castile soap, 1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil and 50 drops of lavender essential oil in 1/4 cup of raw organic honey.
  • Stir well and pour these ingredients into an empty bottle to store it.
  • Shake well before every use of this body wash.
  • Apply it directly on the body to clear all the impurities on the skin.
  • Use it regularly to get soft, smooth and infection – free skin.

Note:

  • Also, mix 3 tablespoons each of liquid castile soap and raw honey, 2 tablespoons of oils (equal parts of castor oil and olive oil) and 10 drops of essential oil in a bowl. Stir all these ingredients and pour it into a container. Use this as your body wash with a natural sponge to get a smooth and soft skin.
  • Or else mix 1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil, 2 teaspoons of jojoba oil, 30 drops of lavender oil and chamomile oil, 1 cup of water, 1/4 cup of honey and 2/3 cups of liquid castile soap in a glass bottle with a dispenser. Use it as your body wash to cleanse your skin, kill bacteria and keep it healthy and hydrated.
  • Or you can use organic body wash instead of liquid castile soap.
  1. Aloe Vera Nourishing Body Wash:

The aloe vera body wash is an amazing body wash that acts as a fantastic cleanser and also improves your skin texture. It nourishes your skin, cleanses it and finally leaves it soft and supple.

Steps to be followed…

  • Mix 1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil, 3/4 cup of castile soap (or mild liquid soap base) and 25 drops of essential oils (prefer orange or lemon) in 1/4 cup of aloe vera gel.
  • Stir all these ingredients and pour it into an empty bottle.
  • Use it regularly as your body wash to cleanse and soothe the skin.
  • To enjoy the complete body and skin care treatment, use this homemade body wash regularly.
  1. Avocado Hydrating Body Wash:

Avocado repairs and moisturizes the skin and delay the aging process with its amazing properties. Oatmeal acts as a great cleanser and essential oil in this body wash will help to remove the germs and the other impurities on the skin.

Steps to be followed…

  • Pour 3 cups of water in a pan and bring it to a boil.
  • Then pour this water over 1/4 cup of oatmeal and filter it.
  • Now add 1/4 cup of liquid castile soap, 15 drops of lavender essential oil, 1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil and 2 teaspoons of avocado oil in a bowl.
  • Stir well and mix 1/5 part of the dispenser bottle with this oil and soap mix and remaining 4/5 part of the bottle with oatmeal water.
  • Stir well and use it as your body wash to cleanse your skin and to enjoy an amazing bathing experience.
  • Continue the usage of this homemade body wash to get a hydrated and nourished skin.
  1. Coconut Milk Moisturizing Body Wash:

This coconut milk body wash helps to moisturize the dry and flaky skin and also keeps it glowing if used in this winter. Coconut milk has all essential fatty acids and proteins that soften the skin, make it supple and glow.

Steps to be followed…

  • Mix 5 drops of lavender oil, 2 teaspoons of vitamin E oil, 3/4 cup of castile soap and 1/2 cup of coconut milk in a bowl.
  • Stir well and pour it into a glass jar to store it.
  • If you want, you can add glycerin to get the desired consistency of the body wash.
  • Use this body wash to cleanse your skin and you can store it for up to a month or two.
  • Regular usage will help to prevent dry skin in the winter season.
  1. Salt Scrub cum Body Wash:

This combination will act as a body wash and a scrub that helps to exfoliate the skin to remove dirt and dead cells. This body wash helps to lighten your skin color and makes it soft, smooth and supple.

Steps to be followed…

  • Mix 1/4 cup of coconut oil, few drops of essential oil and 1/2 cup of castile soap in 1 cup of fine sea salt.
  • Stir well and store it in a cool and dry place in squeeze top bottle.
  • Use this body wash to scrub on your damp skin and rinse off.
  • Repeat it regularly to exfoliate the skin gently and thereby to leave it soft and smooth.

Note:

  • Or simply replace fine sea salt with fine sugar and use this body wash to exfoliate the skin gently while in the shower.
  • For best results, scrub your hands, feet, inner thighs and underarms to make them soft and smooth.
  1. Skin Lightening Body Wash:

This body wash helps to make your skin brighter, smoother and softer with its natural ingredients. It also helps to fade away the scars and remove stubborn tan on your sun-exposed skin areas.

However, the process involves a lot of ingredients and you can easily store this body wash powder for 4 – 5 months.

Steps to be followed…

  • Take lemon peels of 15 lemons, orange peels of 10 oranges, pomegranate peels of 5 pomegranate fruits, 1 big bunch of tulsi (basil) leaves, petals of 30 – 40 rose flowers, 1 big bunch of neem leaves, 200 gms of green gram dal, 500 gms of channa dal and 4 – 5 Kasturi turmeric sticks.
  • Sun – dry all these ingredients till they finely dried without any moisture.
  • Grind all these ingredients into powder form and store it in a glass jar.
  • For usage, people with oily skin should mix this powder with either rose water or cucumber juice, people with dry skin should mix this powder with honey or milk cream, people with normal skin should mix this powder with either milk or curd.
  • Or simply mix this powder with plain water and use it as your body wash to get a radiant and smooth skin.

Tips and suggestions:

  1. You can replace castile soap with any soap base or mild natural shower gel.
  2. All these are natural ingredients that have long shelf life. So, you can prepare it and store it for regular usage without any tension that they get damaged.
  3. Other than using body washes, you have to drink plenty of water, exercise regularly and get a sound sleep to get rid of toxins from the body and thereby to enhance your skin glow naturally from inside.
