Generally, nails are made of keratin, a high water protein that makes your nails soft and shiny but due to an insufficiency of this protein will affect your nails and makes them dry, rough and brittle.

Some reasons like long term exposure to chemicals or water, too much usage of nail polish, unhealthy diet, improper nail care, environmental irritants, etc. will make your nails look dry, brittle and lifeless.

Stop worrying, as there are many natural ways to treat your problem. All you need to do is to follow some nail care, healthy diet and the remedies listed below on regular basis.

How to Keep your Nails Stronger:

Here are some of the best natural remedies that are recommended by most of the people for maintaining healthy and strong nails.

Remedy – 1: (Olive Oil)

Olive oil has linoleic acid that makes it as a good moisturizer to your nails or cuticles. It also prevents fungal infection, repairs damage, absorbs water, strengthen your nails and thus makes them grow stronger and healthier.

  • Slightly warm some olive oil and apply it on your nails by covering the top and underside of your nails.
  • Massage it gently for few minutes.
  • Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse off with water.
  • Dry your nails and repeat it 2 – 3 times daily.

Olive Oil Remedies to Make your Nails Stronger

Note: Or mix 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice in 3 teaspoons of warm olive oil. Apply it on your nails by using a cotton swab at night before bedtime. Let it dry and wear a pair of soft cotton gloves. Leave it on for overnight and rinse off with warm water in the morning.

Remedy – 2: (Tea Tree Oil)

Tea tree oil has Terpinen – 4 – ol that exhibit antimicrobial and antiseptic property which protects your nails from infections. It penetrates deep into the thick nails and clears discolored or yellow nails.

  • Pour few drops of tea tree oil in a small bowl filled with warm water and stir well.
  • Place your nails in this water and soak it for about 5 minutes.
  • After that, take out your nails and pat dry it.
  • Continue doing it a few times a week to grab strong shiny nails.

Note: Or mix 4 – 5 drops of tea tree oil in 1/2 teaspoon of vitamin E oil. Apply it on your nails and massage gently. Rinse off with lukewarm water after it gets dried completely.

Remedy – 3: (Green Tea)

The antioxidants in green tea help to make your nails strong and healthy. It also prevents nails from getting brittle and yellow discoloration.

  • Mix 2 teaspoons of green tea, few drops of wheat germ oil and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  • Stir well and soak your nails in this mix for 5 minutes and wipe off using a dry cloth.
  • Regular follow – up of this process for twice a week will help you to get relief from nail problems.

Note:

  • Or simply soak your nails in a freshly brewed green tea for about 10 – 15 minutes.
  • Also, massage your nails with a mixture prepared by stirring few drops of green tea essential oil with aloe vera gel or coconut oil for once or twice a week.

Remedy – 4: (Apple Cider Vinegar)

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is a powerful house of many nutrients, enzymes, and acids that protect your nails and makes it healthy and strong. Always use raw, organic and unpasteurized ACV with the mother content for best results.

  • Mix equal quantities of organic ACV and water in a small bowl.
  • Stir well and soak your nails in this mix for about 7 – 10 minutes.
  • Repeat it daily till you prevent nail problems and having a healthy nail growth.

Note: Or drink 1 glass of water mixed with 1 teaspoon of organic ACV for 2 – 3 times daily.

Remedy – 5: (Flaxseeds)

Flaxseeds have micronutrients like magnesium, B vitamins, zinc, potassium, protein and lecithin along with omega – 3 fatty acids which are essential for healthy nail growth.

  • Apply flaxseed oil on your nails at night before going to bed.
  • Massage it gently for few minutes and be sure to cover your nails and cuticles thoroughly.
  • Let it dry for few minutes and then wear gloves to retain the moisture.
  • Remove the gloves in the morning and repeat it regularly.

Note: Or mix 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed to your cereals or smoothies and have it daily as a part of your diet.

Tips and Precautions:

  1. Vitamin E oil moisturizes your nail to keep it hydrated and healthy. So, apply vitamin E oil (or vitamin E enriched oil) on the nails. Massage gently for few minutes. Also, consume vitamin E capsules.
  2. Beer has a great source of selenium, silicon, biotin and potassium that helps for making healthy and strong nails. Mix 1 tablespoon each of warm olive oil, beer and ACV in a bowl. Soak your nails for 15 minutes. After that, dry your nails and repeat it regularly.
  3. Regular massage of your nails with nail cream or moisturizing lotion or any natural oil at night before bedtime will help to improve the blood circulation and make your nails grow stronger.
  4. Intake of biotin rich foods like salmon, carrots, egg yolks, soybeans, peanuts, lentils, almonds, corn, fortified cereals, banana, etc. in your daily diet. Or take biotin supplements with prior consult with your doctor for healthy nails.
  5. Consume protein-rich foods like chicken, lean meats, eggs, nuts, seafood, quinoa, tofu, low-fat dairy, nuts and beans to increase your keratin (a protein essential for nails). Or drink protein milkshakes.
  6. Stop biting your nails, as it causes bacterial skin infections on the nails from your mouth.
  7. Avoid wearing acrylics and gels on the nails, as it damages your nails (nail beds). Also, stop picking at your nail polish why because it often removes the top layer of your nail bed.
  8. Never ever skip base coats and top coats on your nails, as they protect your nails from staining. Also, it’s not suggested to use your nails as tools for scraping glue or peeling labels or opening a bottle.

Home Remedies for Thick Eyebrows:

Here are the best remedies that are widely used to thicken your eyebrows naturally. Let’s get started.

Remedy – 1: (Castor Oil)

Castor oil is enriched with proteins, fatty acids, nutrients and antioxidants that help to nourish the hair follicles and enhance the hair growth. It also resists the microbes that restrict the hair growth of eyebrows and makes them strong and thick.

  • Dip a cotton swab in pure castor oil and apply the oil on each eyebrow.
  • Massage gently for 2 – 3 minutes with your fingertips to improve blood circulation.
  • Let it sit for at least 45 minutes to overnight and then rinse off with lukewarm water.
  • Continue this castor oil application for once daily till you notice thick eyebrows.

Note:

  • Castor oil is allergic to some people, as it causes irritation, stinging sensation or rashes. So, perform a skin patch test before using castor oil for thick eyebrows. Also, use black castor oil for best and quick results.
  • Prepare your eyebrow growth oil by mixing 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil in 1 tablespoon each of aloe vera gel and castor oil. Apply this serum using a clean mascara brush on your eyebrows at night before bedtime. Rinse off in the morning. Repeat the same application 3 times a week to grow your eyebrows.
  • Apply a mix of 1/2 tablespoon each of castor oil and coconut milk on your eyebrows using mascara brush.
  • Also, use warm coconut oil for thick eyebrows instead of castor oil. Simply dab some coconut oil on the eyebrows at night before bedtime. Rinse with lukewarm water in the morning. Do it once daily.
  • You can also apply warm olive oil (or few drops of honey in 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil) on eyebrows and massage gently for few minutes. Wash the eyebrows with warm water after 45 minutes and repeat it once daily.
  • Or apply almond oil (or) vitamin E oil (or) jojoba oil (or) petroleum jelly on your eyebrows at night before bedtime and massage gently till the oil absorbed. Rinse off in the morning with lukewarm water.

Remedy – 2: (Egg Yolk)

We all know that hair is made up of keratin protein and an egg has a rich source of protein which is essential for hair growth. Egg yolk has biotin that helps in faster hair growth and thereby thick eyebrows.

  • Separate egg yolk from an egg and whisk it till you get a thick consistency.
  • Apply the yolk mix on each of your eyebrows by using a cotton ball.
  • Wait for 15 – 20 minutes and wash the area with cold water.
  • Continue doing the same process for once or twice a week to enjoy thick eyebrows.

Remedy – 3: (Onion Juice)

Onion juice contains sulfur that enhances the production of collagen tissues and thereby results in thick eyebrows. It stimulates proper blood circulation and strengthens the hair to prevent thin eyebrows.

  • Grind an onion and squeeze it to extract its juice.
  • Apply this juice on your eyebrows and massage it gently for 5 minutes.
  • Let it dry for few minutes and wash with cold water.

Note: Or you can use coconut milk instead of onion juice. Simply apply coconut milk on your eyebrows with a cotton ball and massage gently. Let it sit for few minutes and rinse off with water.

Remedy – 4: (Fenugreek Seeds)

Fenugreek seeds are enriched with proteins, lecithin and nicotinic acid which help to promote healthy hair growth along with rebuilding your hair follicles.

  • Pour 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in enough water and soak it for at least 5 hours.
  • After that, grind the seeds to make a thick paste and add some almond or coconut oil to it.
  • Stir well and apply it on the eyebrows at night before bedtime.
  • Leave it on for overnight and rinse off in the morning with warm water.
  • Do the same for 2 – 3 times daily until you get satisfied results.

Remedy – 5: (Lemon)

Lemons are rich in vitamin C, folic acid, citric acid and other nutrients that promote the hair growth of your eyebrows. It also removes excess oil which clogs hair follicles and prevents its growth.

  • Place the sliced peels of a lemon in 1/4 cup of coconut oil.
  • Mix well and keep it aside for 15 days in a cool and dry place.
  • After that, apply this mix on the eyebrows using a cotton ball at night before bedtime.
  • Rinse off in the next morning and repeat it 3 – 4 times daily to enhance your eyebrows.

Note:

  • Or simply rub a freshly sliced lemon over the eyebrows and rinse off with warm water after 15 – 20 minutes.
  • Direct application of lemon may cause some stinging sensation. So, dilute lemon juice with few drops of water and apply it.
  • Avoid exposing the eyebrows to direct sunlight for at least 2 hours after using lemon, as it lightens the hair color and causes irritation due to its bleaching property.

Remedy – 6: (Aloe Vera)

The aloenin compound in aloe vera promotes healthy hair growth. It rejuvenates the hair, absorbs excess sebum, nourishes the hair follicles and makes the eyebrows grow faster and thicker.

  • Extract aloe vera gel freshly from an aloe leaf and apply it on your eyebrows.
  • Massage it gently for few minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water after 30 minutes.
  • Repeat it once or twice daily for best and quicker results.

Note:

  • Or prepare a paste by mixing little honey or coconut oil or vitamin E oil in 1/2 teaspoon of aloe gel and apply it on the eyebrows. Rinse off with water after 30 minutes. Do it once daily.
  • Or simply mix 1 tablespoon each of aloe vera gel and almond oil and apply it on your eyebrows with the help of mascara brush. Rinse off after few minutes. Repeat it 2 – 3 times a week regularly.

Tips and Precautions:

  1. Milk has all essential nutrients and proteins that nourish the hair and thickens your eyebrows. Dip a cotton ball in a bowl of whole milk and dab it gently on your eyebrows. Dry it and rinse with warm water.
  2. Include plenty of water and foods that are rich in vitamins (A, C & E), proteins, omega – 3 fatty acids, iron, etc. which helps for healthy hair growth.
  3. Have some regular massage of the hair follicles using circular movements and exfoliate the skin to remove dead cells and thereby to increase blood circulation.
  4. It’s better to avoid plucking, tweezing or waxing the brows too frequently to regrow your eyebrows. Also, rinse the face (especially eyes) to remove makeup on the eyes.
  5. Avoid rubbing or scratching the eyebrows too hard and also don’t press the eyebrows too hard while applying an eyebrow pencil.
  6. Exfoliate the eyebrow area gently using a soft brush for a couple of minutes to promote hair growth. It also removes dead skin and other impurities which restrict the hair growth. It helps to prevent thin and sparse eyebrows.

How to Get Rid of Dizziness

It is also caused due to dehydration, diarrhea, hormonal changes, side effects of certain medications, stress, fever, vomiting, or other weakness.

However, if you suffer from attacks of dizziness more frequently, consult your doctor for proper diagnose and treatment but if you’re suffering from dizziness occasionally then follow the natural remedies which give long lasting results without any side effects on the health.

Natural Home Remedies for Dizziness:

  • Wash the fresh ginger root thoroughly and cut into small slices.
  • Put these slices in a cup and pour hot water into the cup.

  • Continue doing the sane process daily for few days to clear dizziness.

Remedy – 5: (Honey)

  • Mix 2 teaspoons each of organic apple cider vinegar and raw honey into 1 glass of warm or normal water.
  • Stir well and drink it 2 – 3 times daily to grab many health benefits, including dizziness.

Note: Also, mix 1 teaspoon each of honey and cinnamon powder (or lemon juice and honey in warm water) and have it once daily in the morning to get relief from the problem.

Remedy – 6: (Diet Plan)

Consuming a healthy well – balanced diet will prevent dizziness and also prevent certain conditions like anemia, low blood sugar or blood pressure. So, choose food that is rich in folic acid, iron, vitamins (A, B, C) and fiber.

  • Include iron rich foods like almonds, tofu, dates, spinach, lentils, liver, asparagus, fortified breakfast cereals, etc. in your daily diet.
  • Intake of food rich in vitamin C like oranges, bell peppers, lemons, grapefruit, spinach, broccoli, etc. as a part of your diet. Also take foods rich in vitamin A and B.
  • Avoid the intake of iron blocking beverages like coffee, beer, carbonated beverages and wine or else limit the intake to get rid of the dizziness and its symptoms.
  • Eat foods that are rich in folic acid like liver, green leafy vegetables, fortified cereals, sprouts, banana, peanuts, broccoli, etc.
  • Drink plenty of water and other healthy drinks or juices to stay well hydrated.
  • Consume small meals for 5 – 6 times in a day rather than 3 big meals. Also don’t skip meals, particularly breakfast (the morning energy).

Tips and Precautions:

  1. Dehydration is one of the causes of dizziness. So, drink plenty of water along with herbal teas, soups, fresh fruit or vegetable juices, broths, etc. to stay hydrated and to prevent dizziness.
  2. Low blood sugar (for diabetics) or feeling hunger is another cause for dizziness. So, consume something like snacks or fruits or yogurt with fruits, roasted nuts (almonds, cashews or walnuts), chocolate bar, etc. to get rid of dizziness.
  3. Ginkgo biloba herb improves blood flow to the brain to control the sensation of dizziness or light headedness and tinnitus. The standard dosage is 120 – 150 mg of gingko Biloba extract in 3 divided doses on daily basis for few weeks but consult your doctor before taking this herb.
  4. Also, eat feverfew leaves or drink feverfew tea to improve your blood circulation and to treat dizziness symptoms. Steep 1 teaspoon each of dried peppermint leaves and feverfew leaves in 1 cup of hot water for 15 – 20 minutes and strain it. Drink it regularly.
  5. When you’re experiencing dizziness then sit or lie down immediately and concentrate on the immobile objects around you to distract the mind from dizziness.
  6. Physical exercises and mental exercises (yoga and meditation) are essential to improve blood circulation throughout the body and thus to prevent dizziness.
  7. Massage your body to boost proper blood circulations and have enough sleep or rest.
  8. Avoid moving or standing suddenly or driving a car or climbing a ladder or operating machinery while suffering from dizziness.

Warning Signs of Parasites in the Body

Method – 1: (Tea Tree Oil)
