  • Once colour changes completely switch of the heat.

Remedy-11 (Mango)

Raw mango is helpful for gaining black color of your hair. For this take some handful of leaves, unripe mangoes and peel off the skin. Steps to follow in hair spa treatment:

Step 1: Massage

For massage you can use coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil or you can just make a mixture of all the oils and use it.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil/olive oil/ almond oil

How to apply?

  • Take a heating pan and pour 2 tablespoons of coconut oil into it.
  • Now, heat this oil for about 3-4 seconds and keep it aside.
  • Comb your hair properly before massaging.
  • Now, take oil on your palm and start massaging using your finger tips.
  • Apply it evenly on your scalp extending up to the full length of hair.
  • Leave it overnight and rinse it off next day morning.

Note: You can also massage by mixing 1 tablespoon of coconut oil along with almond oil, olive oil or castor oil.

If you are allergic to some of the oil then, try to avoid them on your hair.

Step 2: Steaming

Hair steaming helps in locking the moisture inside the hair. This moist encourages the blood flow in the scalp and promotes hair growth. It opens up the clogged pores and allows the applied oil to go deep into the roots and provide nourishment to it.

How to do?

  • Initially boil some water and put a clean soft preferably cotton towel inside it.
  • Allow it to soak completely and then remove it outside and twist the towel to remove the excess water.
  • Now, wrap it around your head and leave it for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3: Wash your hair:

Regular washing of your hair removes all the dirt and oil from the hair. It also cleans the scalp and avoids scalp infections. Using some natural keratin rich shampoo helps in growth of hair.

Ingredients:

  • Lukewarm water
  • Natural shampoo

How to do?

  • Comb your hair properly and make sure there are no lumps.
  • Firstly by using warm water wash your hair and scalp.
  • Take a little amount of shampoo on your palm and apply it evenly on your scalp.
  • Rub your hair slowly to form lather and keep doing for 1 minute.
  • Then, allow the shampoo to rest for about a minute without touching.
  • Then, again make use of lukewarm water and wash your hair thoroughly.
  • To remove the shampoo completely you can repeat the process.

Note:

  • Do not use too hot water for hair wash as it may damage your hair.
  • If you don’t wantto use shampoo you can also use shikakai and reetha.

Shikakai and reetha shampoo:

  • Take 500 ml of water and put some 6-7 pods of reetha along with 7-8 pieces of shikakai.
  • Soak them overnight and next day boil them thoroughly.
  • Allow this mixture to come back to normal temperature.
  • Then, you can blend it thoroughly in a blender.
  • Now, this mixture can be used for hair wash.

Step 4: Conditioner:

After washing remove the excess amount of water from your hair and apply conditioner on the hair. There are varieties of conditioners available in the market so, you can use them or make a conditioner of your own using egg, aloevera etc.

How to apply?

  • If you are using a commercial product then, apply it after shampooing and wash it after couple of minutes.
  • If you are using black tea or lemon water then, use it to wash your hair after shampooing and leave it to dry naturally.
  • If you are using aloevera gel or egg white then, apply it to the length of hair and wash your hair thoroughly after 30 minutes of application.

Step 5: Finally put a hair mask:

Hair mask plays a prominent role in maintaining healthy hair. It fights against the dandruff and absorbs the excessive oil produced in scalp. These masks help in maintaining moist hair and also provide nourishment to the hair roots.

The hair masks can either be prepared at the home or you can use the masks available in the market. Before applying the mask it is important to ensure that it is suitable for your hair type and the ingredients used are safe.

How to apply?

  • Make separate divisions of your hair and apply the mask evenly all over the scalp and extend it up to the length of the hair.
  • Now, slowly take all your hair on one side and put it inside a bun using some clip.

  • Later, rinse off your hair using warm water along with some mild shampoo or shikakai.

Curd and Honey mask: Honey has various beneficial properties that prevents hair and scalp from drying. Curd with its lactic acid prevents breakage and spilt ends of the hair. it also provides soothing effect to the scalp and avoids dandruff.

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 tablespoons of curd
  • 2 tablespoons honey

How to prepare?

  • Take a bowl and combine curd with honey and mix properly.
  • Now, apply this mixture on your scalp and length of the hair.
  • After 20-25 minutes you can shampoo your hair.

Olive oil and banana mask: Olive oil is used in maintaining the moisture of the hair and avoids dryness. Thus, this mask is very beneficial for those with dry hair. Bananas control the dandruff and provide shine to hair. They also soften the hair and avoids breakage or split ends.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium sized banana
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons olive oil

How to prepare?

  • Take a blender and add banana along with a tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Blend the mixture to make a smooth paste and apply it on the hair or scalp.
  • Allow it to rest for about 20 minutes and then, wash it off using shampoo and water.

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 avocado

How to prepare?

  • Take a bowl and add egg yolk to it and whish it properly.

  • Now, combine both the avocado and egg mixture to make a smooth paste.
