Mask – 1: (Lemon and Honey Mask)

Lemon acts as a cleansing and exfoliating agent that cleanses the area by removing dead cells, dirt, and impurities. Honey softens the hair with its hydrating and moisturizing properties. Honey and lemon mix is sticky in nature that effectively pulls off the facial hair.

They both exhibit antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that help to prevent the skin irritation and breakout. It also lightens your facial skin and makes it smooth.

Steps to be followed…

  • Add 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice in 4 tablespoons of raw honey.
  • Stir well and spread this mix all over the face as a mask.
  • Let it sit for about 15 – 20 minutes and then remove the mask gently by using a clean cloth soaked in lukewarm water and dry your face.
  • Continue this mask for 2 – 3 times a week till all your facial hair has been removed completely.

Note: Or oatmeal has a grainy texture which exfoliates the skin and helps to remove the facial hair. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of coarsely ground oatmeal and 6 – 8 drops of lemon juice in 1 tablespoon of honey. Stir well and apply it on the face. Wait for 15 – 20 minutes and rub the face in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Rinse with water and repeat twice a week regularly.

Mask – 2: (Turmeric)

Turmeric exhibits antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which clear the unwanted facial hair without any pain or infection. The sticky nature of turmeric will grab the skin tight and removes the hair from its roots.

Here are some ways of using Turmeric as Facial Hair Remover

  • Chickpea (or gram) flour will exfoliate the skin to remove dirt and impurities. Stir 1 ½ teaspoon of milk, 3/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1 tablespoon of milk cream in 2 tablespoons of gram flour. Spread a thick paste on the face and wait for 20 minutes to dry. Scrub the face with a warm soft cloth. Do it 3 – 4 times a week regularly.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon each of plain yogurt and rose water and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric in 1 tablespoon of chickpea flour. Stir well and apply it on the face. Leave for 20 minutes to scrub off the face.
  • Combine equal quantities of turmeric and chickpea flour (or whole wheat flour) by adding enough sesame oil to make a paste. Spread it on the face and scrub it off after 30 minutes. Do it once a week on regular basis.
  • Mix 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder with enough milk (or rose water) to make a fine paste. Smear it on the face and wait for a few minutes to get dried. Then scrub your face in the opposite direction of hair growth to remove the facial hair. Repeat it regularly for once a week.
  • Papaya acts as natural bleach that lightens the facial hair and when mixed with turmeric will clear off the facial hair. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder in raw papaya pulp and use it to massage your face gently. Allow it to sit for 15 – 20 minutes and rinse with water thoroughly. Repeat it once a week to enjoy smooth skin without any facial hair.

Mask – 3: (Coffee and Baking Soda)

Coffee exfoliates the skin and its combination with baking soda will soften the hair and remove it easily from the root. It reduces the hair growth on the body and makes your skin soft and smooth.

Steps to be followed…

  • Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of ground instant coffee in 3 tablespoons of water to make it a thick paste.
  • Apply this paste on all over the face and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  • Then rub the skin gently in circular motion and wipe off the face with a wet tissue or rinse with water.
  • Continue doing the same process regularly to remove the unwanted facial hair permanently from the face.

Mask – 4: (Egg Mask)

  • Grind 1/2 cup of red lentils and sieve it to get a fine powder.

Though there are various methods of treatment such as medications, surgeries and home remedies. It is better to follow natural home remedies as they are safe and economical. c) Apple cider vinegar soaks:

  • Take a bucket filled with 2 litres of warm water.

d) Apple cider vinegar wrap:

  • Take a long length of cotton cloth and soak it in apple cider vinegar.

  • You can continue this regularly to obtain relief from varicose veins.

e) Apple cider vinegar with carrot and Aloevera:

  • Take half cup of carrot pieces and add 3 tablespoons of aloevera pulp to it.
  • Now, blend all the ingredients to form a thick paste.
  • Then, you can add ½ cup of apple cider vinegar to it and blend it properly.
  • You can use this mixture as mask and can apply it on the affected area.
  • Allow it to sit for about 30 minutes and then, rinse it off using warm water.
  • You can repeat this process whenever required.

f) Apple cider vinegar and witch hazel:

  • You can combine 2 teaspoons of ACV and 1 teaspoon of witch hazel to form a paste and rub it on the affected areas to get rid of varicose veins.
  • For better results you can repeat its usage.

Method 2: (ACV – Internal usage)

  • Take a cup of water and add 2 teaspoons of raw ACV along with 1 teaspoon of organic honey to it.
  • Mix it properly and consume this drink prior to meals.
  • Regular intake of this will help you to get rid of varicose veins.

Alternative method

  • Mix 2 teaspoons of raw, unfiltered ACV and 1 tablespoon of non-carbonated water.
  • Now, consume it two times every day, once after the breakfast and again night after the dinner.

Method – 3: (Apple Cider Vinegar Mask with Carrot and Aloe Vera)

  • Pour pieces of 1/2 a carrot and 3 tablespoons of aloe vera pulp in a blender.
  • Blend it properly and then add 1/2 cup of ACV into the blender.
  • Again blend it to make a smooth and homogenous cream and apply it on the affected varicose veins as a mask.
  • Let it sit for about 30 minutes and rinse it off with warm water.

Note: Massage the paste upwards to stimulate the blood circulation and rinse with cool water.

  • Melt 5 oz of raw shea butter and 1 teaspoon of grapeseed oil by using a double boiler.

  • Then turn on the food processor and pour 4 tablespoons of orange blossom water slowly from the open end of the processor.

  • Place this melted shea butter in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to get partly solidified (the reason is that melted shea butter cannot be whipped properly).
  • Take out the shea butter and add 2 teaspoons of sweet almond oil, 3 tablespoons of apricot kernel oil and 10 – 15 drops of Frankincense essential oil to it.
  • Stir well by using a hand blender for a couple of minutes and then add 2 teaspoons of corn starch to it.
  • Whip it again for 5 minutes until you get a creamy white mixture and now slowly add 1/4 cup of lavender hydrosol while beating the mix.
  • Never ever pour this hydrosol all at once into this whipped mixture why because the oils and water will not mix well. So, slow addition of this water will speed the blending.
  • Voila! Your non-greasy shea butter lotion recipe is ready to use.
  • Transfer this clean container and use it regularly that lasts over 6 months, if stored in a clean dry place.

Note: Or you can substitute the lavender hydrosol with either of these ingredients like rose hydrosol, calendula hydrosol, neroli hydrosol, chamomile hydrosol or any other floral water.

Method – 5: (Shea Butter Lotion)

This is a basic simple recipe to prepare shea butter lotion (without any chemicals or preservatives). You will get a liquid lotion consistency by simply adding the hydrosol at a right time in a slow and steady motion while it is blended on high speed.

Steps to be followed…

  • Pour 4 parts of raw shea butter, 3 parts of hydrosol, 1 part of skin healing ingredients and 4 parts of base oil into a processor.
  • Blend it for about 5 minutes till it attains smooth and absorbable consistency.
  • Then transfer this shea butter lotion into a clean jar/container.
  • Stir in the essential oils and close the lid tight to use it on regular basis.
  • Store this lotion in a dry place where there is no contact of any impurities with this lotion.

Note: Other simple recipe is to melt 1 cup each of coconut oil and shea butter and 4 tablespoons of beeswax pellets in a double boiler. Transfer the melted mix into a container and wait to cool down slightly. Now add 1 teaspoon of lavender oil to it and stir well to use it regularly.

Method – 6: (Shea Butter Lotion with Essential Oils)

Here we are using certain essential oils like rosemary, lavender, tea tree oil and carrot seed essential oil along with some nourishing oils like sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, avocado, jojoba oils.

Steps to be followed…

  • Pour 1/2 cup of shea butter in a double boiler to melt it over medium low heat.
  • Then add 2 – 3 tablespoons of nourishing oil and turn off the heat.
  • Place this mix in freezer till it turns to solid form for about 15 – 20 minutes.
  • Remove the bowl and add 10 drops of lavender oil, 3 drops each of tea tree oil and carrot seed oil and 5 drops of rosemary oil in it.
  • Stir well using a hand whisk and store it in a clean jar at room temperature.
  • Use it regularly on your face and body to protect it from external impurities and to hydrate your skin.

Note: If you feel greasy after applying this lotion then add some arrowroot flour or starch to it.

Method – 7: (Shea Butter with Cocoa Butter and Oils)

The combination of shea butter with cocoa butter and oils will provide a high moisturizing effect to the body. This is an excellent body butter that used for baby skin or sensitive skin people.

Steps to be followed…

  • Combine 1/2 cup of all these ingredients – shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa butter (or mango butter) and almond oil in a double boiler.
  • Turn on the heat over medium heat and stir constantly till the ingredients are melted properly.
  • Remove it from heat and allow it to cool slightly and then add 10 – 20 drops of essential oils to it.
  • Refrigerate it for an hour and whip it for 10 minutes using a hand mixer until fluffy.
