It can be caused due to many reasons like indoor and outdoor airborne allergens, dietary irritants (gluten, dairy, and artificial additives), nasal sprays, smoke, respiratory infections, changes in air pressure, germs, infections resulting from dental problems, etc.

Remedy – 1: (Nasal Irrigation)

Nasal irritation clears the mucus and other debris out of the passage and sinuses. It also keeps the sinuses moist for its proper functioning.

Here are some of the ways of doing nasal irritation.

  • Mix 1 teaspoon of sea salt and 1/2 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide in 1 glass of distilled warm water. Use this mix for nasal irrigation with the help of bulb syringe or neti pot or other irrigation devices to clear the mucus. Repeat the process once daily.
  • Stir well ½ – 1 teaspoon of pickling or canning salt and a pinch of baking soda in 1 cup of lukewarm water. Use it for nasal irrigation and continue it for 2 – 3 times a day.
  • Mix 1 teaspoon of salt in 1 glass of lukewarm water and use it to irrigate the nasal cavity. This process helps to clear out the unwanted mucus and other inhaled contaminants.

Note:

  • Or inhale the steam by adding few drops of eucalyptus or peppermint oil in the hot water to break up the thick mucus and clears the nasal passage.
  • Also, take hot water shower or steam bath to drain out the impurities from sinuses.

Remedy – 2: (Apple Cider Vinegar)

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antiseptic properties that clear the germs causing infection. It has an anti-inflammatory property that relieves you from the pain, swelling, and irritation of the nasal tissues.

Remedy – 3: (Cayenne Pepper)

Cayenne pepper is a spicy food that helps to drain out the sinuses and open up the nasal passages. It also boosts your immunity, improves blood circulation and reduces swelling and inflammation.

  • Add 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper in 1 cup of hot water.
  • Stir well and drink it to clear your sinuses.

  • Drink plenty of water and other healthy drinks like herbal teas, clear broth (chicken broth) or smoothies to thin the mucus and drain it from sinuses.

Here are some ACV methods that used for treating sweaty palms and feet.

  • Wash the excessive sweating hands and feet with lukewarm water. Apply raw, unfiltered ACV on that area using a cotton ball at night before bedtime. Leave it on for overnight and take a bath and dry your skin. Now apply baby powder on the palms and feet to get rid of the problem. Do it daily.
  • Mix equal parts of ACV and rose water and stir well. Apply this mix on your palms and feet by using a cotton ball. Repeat the same process 2 – 3 times daily.
  • Add 1 – 2 teaspoons of raw, unfiltered ACV and 1/2 teaspoon of organic honey in 1 glass of lukewarm water. Stir well and drink it twice daily.

Remedy – 2: (Lemon Juice)

Lemon eliminates bacteria and acts as a natural deodorant that helps to keep you with a fresh and nice smelling. Regular usage of this lemon will definitely help you to get rid of the problem.

  • Mix the juice of 1 lemon in 1 teaspoon of baking soda and stir well to make a fine paste.
  • Apply this paste on the affected areas where you sweat more.
  • Rinse off the paste after 10 minutes and do it daily to get rid of excessive sweaty hands and feet.

Note:

  • Or mix the juice of 1 lemon in 1 cup of water and soak a washcloth in this water. Squeeze it to remove excess water and rub it all over the body. After 20 minutes, take a bath or shower. Repeat it once daily.
  • Also, sprinkle some salt on a piece of lemon and use it to rub the affected area gently for few minutes and leave it to dry for another few minutes to slow down the activity of the sweat glands.
  • Avoid going out in the sun immediately after using lemon juice, as it causes the skin to get more sensitive to the ultraviolet rays.
  • Or dry out the orange and lemon peels in the sun and powder it. Store it in an airtight container and use it as the dusting powder or soak your hands in a mix prepared by mixing water in some powder and dry it.

Remedy – 3: (Cornstarch)

Cornstarch will work similar to a talcum powder and thus stops hyperhidrosis. It has a natural antiperspirant that absorbs the moisture and thereby neutralizes the unpleasant odor.

  • Add equal quantities of baking soda and cornstarch and mix well.
  • Store this in an old talcum powder bottle to use it regularly.
  • Dry your skin after bath and dust some of this powder on the hands and feet.
  • Repeat it as needed to get rid of the problem.

Note: Or you can use cornstarch or baking soda or baby powder or talcum powder alone for treating this sweaty palms or feet.

Remedy – 4: (Witch Hazel)

Witch hazel has astringent and antiperspirant properties that control the excessive sweating. Tannic acid helps to close the pores and thereby restrict excess sweating. It is safe to apply it on all over the body parts.

  • Dip a cotton ball in witch hazel liquid extract and rub it gently on the affected areas where you have excessive sweating.
  • Leave it like that and continue it for 2 – 3 times daily to get rid of the problem.

Note:

  • Or mix 1 tablespoon of witch hazel bark powder in little water to make a paste. Apply it on the affected areas and let it sit for 1 hour. Wash it with cold water and repeat it daily.
  • Stop using witch hazel remedies for more than 2 weeks continuously, as it causes over dryness to the skin.

Remedy – 5: (Sage)

Sage has strong astringent that dries up the excess oils and prevents excessive sweating. It is rich in vitamin B and magnesium that reduces overactivity in the sweat glands.

  • Place 2 – 3 sage tea bags in a large bowl of water and cover it.
  • Allow it to steep for 15 – 20 minutes and soak your hands or feet in this water for 20 – 30 minutes.
  • Do it 1 – 2 times daily to get complete relief from the problem.

Note: Or drink 1 cup of warm sage tea on an empty stomach (or) include the herb in your daily cooking.

Remedy – 6: (Tea Bags)

Herbal tea bags have tannins that keep the body temperature cool and thus reduce the chance of excessive sweating. It has an astringent property that blocks the skin pores and prevents hyperhidrosis.

  • Hold moist tea bags in the palms for 5 minutes.
  • Do it 2 – 3 times daily to get rid of the problem.

  2. Tea tree oil has antimicrobial and astringent properties that control excessive sweating. Mix 4 – 5 drops of tea tree oil in a bowl of lukewarm water and apply it on the affected areas using a cotton ball or washcloth. Repeat it 2 – 3 times daily.
  3. Include magnesium rich foods like almonds, banana, beans, pumpkin seeds, blackstrap molasses, pecans, potato skin, yogurt, whole grains, cashews, soy milk, green leafy vegetables, etc. to control sweat gland activity. Or take magnesium citrate supplements after consulting your doctor.

Remedy – 1: (Olive Oil)

Here are some olive oil methods for treating dry and rough hands.

  • Slightly warm some olive oil and massage the oil gently on your hands for 5 – 10 minutes to absorb the oil into the skin. Continue it for twice daily till you get satisfied results and then use this method occasionally to maintain those soft and smooth hands.
  • Also, you can use any other natural oils (like coconut oil, almond oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil, castor oil or vitamin E oil) instead of olive oil to massage your hands.

  • You can also use salt instead of sugar in the above homemade scrub mix to soften your hands.

Remedy – 2: (Honey)

Here are some ways of using honey for treating dry and rough hands.

  • Add 2 tablespoons of ground oatmeal and 1/2 – 1 teaspoon of raw honey in a bowl.
  • You can also add few drops of fresh lemon juice (optional) in it.
  • Stir well by adding enough water to make a fine paste.
  • Apply it on your hands and rub it gently for few minutes.
  • Let it sit for about 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water.
  • Repeat the same process regularly for once a week.

Remedy – 4: (Milk Cream)

Milk cream has high-fat content that makes it as a natural moisturizer. The lactic acid content helps to exfoliate the dry skin and also maintain the balance of the skin’s pH levels for proper moisturizing.

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of gram flour in 2 teaspoons of milk cream to make a fine paste.
  • Apply it on your hands and massage gently for a minute or two.
  • Wait for 15 – 20 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water.
  • Dry your hands and continue doing the same process for 2 – 3 times a week.

Note: Or simply rub fresh milk cream on your hands and wash off with lukewarm water after 10 – 15 minutes. Do it daily to get rid of dry and rough hands.

Remedy – 5: (Lemon Juice)

  • Add 1 tablespoon of gram flour in 3 teaspoons of plain yogurt and stir well to make a fine paste.
  • Apply on your hands and massage gently for a couple of minutes.
  • Let it dry for another few minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water.

Do’s and Don’ts:

  1. Aloe vera is a natural moisturizer that helps to retain moisture on the dry and rough skin. Apply a freshly extracted aloe vera gel on your hands and massage gently. Rinse off with lukewarm water after 10 – 15 minutes. Continue this aloe gel application for 1 – 2 times daily.
  2. Avocado is rich in vitamins A, C & E along with monounsaturated fats that reduce dry or sagging skin. Mix pulp of 1/2 a ripe avocado in 1 tablespoon of honey and rub it on your hands. Wash it off after 10 – 15 minutes using cool water.
  3. Also, banana has a moisturizing property that hydrates your skin and treats wrinkles. Mash 1 overripe banana and apply it on your hands. Rinse with lukewarm water after 30 minutes and apply moisturizer.
  4. Exfoliate your hands for at least once a week and also avoid using any harsh soaps or products for your hands.
  5. Protect your hands from further damage by wearing cotton gloves while doing gardening or household work.
  6. Apply petroleum jelly or shea butter or cocoa butter or other hand moisturizer or cream at night before bedtime and wear gloves overnight.
  7. Include plenty of water and foods that are high in nutrients and proteins to keep your body (hands) well moisturized.
  8. Massage your overall part of the hands for 10 minutes daily to enhance proper blood circulation and thereby to prevent roughness and dryness. Also, wear sunscreen lotion to protect your hands from harmful UV rays.

Here are the best remedies mentioned that are widely used to treat gastroparesis along with other digestive problems. Let’s get started.

Remedy – 1: (Aloe Vera)

Aloe vera helps for proper digestion to prevent gastroparesis. It has laxative nature that relieves bloating and regulates bowel movements. Regular intake will help to treat abdominal pain and aids in digestion.

  • Pour 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and 1 cup of orange juice (or water) in a blender.
  • Blend it for few seconds and drink 1 cup of this aloe juice in the morning after waking up.
  • Regular intake of this drink in every morning will help for proper digestion and bowel movement.

Note: Avoid consumption of aloe vera juice that has more than 2 tablespoons of aloe gel per day, as it results in diarrhea or leaky gut.

  • Mix 1 teaspoon of raw unpasteurized ACV in 1 glass of warm water.
  • Stir well and drink it 15 – 20 minutes before every meal.

Note:

  • Or simply mix 1 tablespoon of ACV and 1 teaspoon of raw honey in 1 glass of warm water. Stir well and drink it before each meal to get proper digestion and absorption of nutrients into the body.

Remedy – 3: (Coconut Oil)

  • Mix 1 teaspoon of virgin coconut oil to 1/4 cup of water.

Most of the people look for various methods to get rid of scar tissues. Don’t worry? There are several natural remedies available at home that not only removes scars but also leave your skin soft and healthy.

Home Remedies to Get Rid of Scar Tissue:

Avoid surgical procedures and simply follow these natural remedies for scar tissue that safely treats the problem. Remember that results depend on the severity or depth of the problem.

Remedy – 1: (Coconut Oil)

  • Slightly warm 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in a microwave and take out.

  • Helichrysum oil diminishes the appearance of scars with its antibacterial and skin healing properties. Mix 5 – 8 drops of helichrysum oil in any carrier oil and apply it on the scars. Rinse off after few minutes.
  • Also, use any soap that contains essential oils to rinse the scar tissue areas for twice daily.

Remedy – 5: (Lemon Juice)

Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) in lemon help to remove dead cells and regenerate new cells to repair damaged skin. It also works as a natural skin lightener that lightens up the scars and blemishes.

  • Extract some fresh lemon juice and apply it on the scar tissue area using a cotton ball.
  • Let it dry for 8 – 10 minutes and wash the area with water.

These cysts are small and painless which can burst on their own and heals within few days. It occurs when the salivary gland is blocked or injured due to some kind of trauma like an injury from a blow or blunt objects, accidental biting off a soft tissue inside the mouth, etc.

Poor dental hygiene, repeated biting of inner lip area and cheek due to stress, some mouth burns or infections, lower lip piercing, certain drugs that thicken saliva, etc. are some causes for this mucous cyst.

It results in the excess production of saliva in the mouth which in turn causes a lot of discomfort in speaking or eating. These are round in shape that appears in whitish or bluish in color.

Remedy – 1: (Glycerin)

Glycerin (vegetable glycerin) has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that fight against the microbes causing these cysts. It also moisturizes the area for getting quick relief from the problem.

  • Apply vegetable glycerin on the cyst affected area using a cotton swab.
  • Let it sit for few minutes and rinse your mouth with cool water.
  • Continue the same process for 3 – 4 times daily.

Note: Or simply use a glycerin based mouthwash for several times in a day till you get rid of the problem.

Remedy – 2: (Moist Tea Bag)

Tannic acid in tea exhibits some astringent property that speeds up the healing process. It also has an anti-inflammatory property that reduces the pain, irritation, and swelling caused by the cyst.

  • Prepare a tea using a tea bag and squeeze the tea bag to remove excess tea.
  • Refrigerate the used tea bag for few minutes and place it on the affected area for 5 – 10 minutes.
  • Repeat the same process for 2 – 3 times daily till you get relief from the oral cyst.

Remedy – 3: (Turmeric)

Curcumin in turmeric has antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that heal these oral cysts effectively.

  • Mix enough milk in 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder to make a fine paste.
  • Apply it on the affected area using clean fingers or a cotton ball.
  • Rinse it off with lukewarm water after 30 minutes.
  • Do the same for 2 – 3 times daily.

Note:

  • Or dab some fresh turmeric juice on the cyst for 2 – 3 times daily.
  • Also, mix 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder in 1 teaspoon of raw honey to make a paste. Apply it on the affected area and gargle it with lukewarm water after 15 – 20 minutes.
  • Or else, applying manuka honey (at night before bedtime) will give relief from the mucous cyst.

Remedy – 4: (Sage)

Sage has an astringent property that dries the cyst and heals the problem quickly. It has many calming properties that help you to reduce the discomfort associated with a mucous cyst.

  • Mix 2 – 3 teaspoons of dried or fresh sage leaves in 2 cups of boiling water.
  • Cover it and let it steep for about 10 – 15 minutes.
  • Strain it and let it cool down for another few minutes.
  • Use this mix as your mouthwash to rinse your mouth for several times daily.

Note: Never ever swallow this homemade mouth rinse.

Remedy – 5: (Castor Oil)

Castor oil has an anti-inflammatory property that helps to reduce the pain, swelling, and inflammation which is associated with large oral cysts. It also keeps the area moisturized and prevents dryness and irritation.

  • Mix equal quantities of raw honey and castor oil.
  • Apply it all over the affected cyst using a cotton ball.
  • Wash your mouth with lukewarm water after 10 minutes.
  • Continue the process for 2 – 3 times daily till you get rid of the problem.

Note: Or you can also apply evening primrose oil (have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties) on the cysts for twice daily (or simply break a capsule and apply it). Leave it for overnight and rinse off in next morning.

Remedy – 6: (Alum)

Hydrated potassium aluminum sulphate is termed as Alum. It helps a lot in clearing the mucous cyst by drying the fluid in the cyst and also prevents its recurrence.

  • Apply some alum on the cyst using a cotton ball.
  • Wait for 4 – 5 minutes and rinse off with water.
  • Repeat it regularly till you get rid of the infection.

Some Other Remedies:

  • Salt is very effective in removing all the mucous and reducing the pain or swelling to clear mucocele. Mix 1/2 tablespoon of salt in 1 cup of warm water. Use it as your mouthwash for 2 – 3 times daily.
  • Ice will numb the area and relieves you from the pain and swelling of large oral cysts. Wrap a thin washcloth with ice cubes and place it on the affected area for 1 – 2 minutes (or) simply sip some cold water to ease the discomfort.
  • You can also apply some soothing ingredients like fresh aloe vera gel, raw honey or yogurt on the affected area to get rid of the problem.
  • Tea tree oil exhibits antiseptic, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that help to clear mucocele. Mix few drops of tea tree oil in honey and apply it on the affected areas. Rinse off after few minutes with water.
  • Myrrh has a natural antiseptic property that treats mucocele effectively. Apply the diluted tincture of myrrh on the cyst using a cotton swab. Rinse off after 2 – 4 seconds (or) use it as your mouthwash.
  • Licorice root forms a protective layer over the affected area to get rid of pain and irritation. It also exhibits antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Mix 1 tablespoon of licorice powder with 2 cups of hot water for a couple of hours.  Strain it and use it as your mouth rinse (or) apply licorice root powder on the affected area directly.

Tips and Precautions:

  1. The difference between canker sores and mucocele is that mucocele appears as raised blisters whereas canker sores are open sores or ulcers.
  2. Always consult your doctor for proper diagnose any mouth cyst to rule out some serious conditions.
  3. Avoid biting lip or cheek, as it causes the recurrence of the problem. Make a habit of chewing on sugarless gum to prevent biting the lip or cheek area.
  4. Be sure that the cyst should not get infected deeply and always use some necessary preventive steps to get rid of the cysts.
  5. It’s best to follow the proper dental hygiene to prevent these oral cysts or sores inside the mouth.
  6. Avoid consuming any spicy or oily foods or foods that irritate the damaged tissue of your mouth for few days till you get complete relief from the problem.
  7. Drink plenty of water and consume a healthy diet (like foods rich in vitamin C like orange and lemons) to get quick relief from the problem.
