Kiwi Apple Smoothie

This is a refreshing and healthy detox smoothie that contains the goodness of antioxidant-rich kiwis, fiber-rich apples and antioxidant-rich spinach. Chia seeds used in this smoothie adds some volume to the smoothie and supplies a wholesome amount of dietary fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.

The vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in this smoothie helps to boost the immune system, while its fiber and omega-3 fatty acids content aids weight loss. This wholesome and filling smoothie can be consumed as a healthy breakfast replacement. This is a 100% vegan and gluten-free recipe that does not contain any gluten-containing grains or dairy products which makes it suitable even for people with restrictive diets.

Kiwi fruits are one of the best sources of vitamin C and fiber and it is extremely low in calories. High fiber content in kiwi supports healthy digestion by regularizing bowel movement and helps to reduce the risk of constipation and hemorrhoids. Fiber also increases satiety and helps in weight management. Vitamin E present in kiwi protects the cells against damaging free radicals and reduces the risk of cancer. It also supports healthy immune system. Vitamin K found in kiwi supports bone mineralization and helps to form strong and healthy bones.

Apples are a healthy low calorie fruit that contains high level of dietary fiber and antioxidants that support overall health. Procedure:

  • Toss spinach, apple chunks and kiwi pieces in the blender.
  • Then add chia seeds, raw honey, and water to it.
